It is possible to create a basement in a property if there is not one there already or to enlarge a small basement space into a full size room.  We can give you an accurate budget estimate to undertake the forming of the new basement area based on our experience and knowledge of this type of project and following the commission of your architecht and submission of the working drawings/plans we will then visit you on site to discuss the proposal and provide you with a fixed quotation.

Our estimate will be subject to undertaking some trial holes in order to ascertain the type and formation of the structure and footings.





In addition a structural engineer will have to submit a proposal and drawings to the local authority to achieve planning consent. (we can arrange this for you or recommend a structural engineer to you).

When creating a basement from scratch through a solid floor, you will probably need to move out. The builders will need to dig down through the front room of the house, so most people tend to move out unless they can stand living in the back of the house while the work is going on.

Once the basement area has been completed you will have added extra living space to your home, which can be used for absolutely anything – it also frees up the rest of the house to use in different ways.
